Theme: Content creation and curation in digital environments

Team: 3.1

Topic: Knowledge Management for Secondary Students

Approved Proposal:
In today's digital learning environment, it is important for students to foster the development of independent inquiry skills, utilise current technologies and employ effective research methodology allowing for the connection of ideas and knowledge. Content curation assists students in critical evaluation and selection of information and resources to generate links and form conclusions.
The learning module (wiki) will endeavour to provide clear strategies and demonstrate wide-ranging resources that guide students of ages 16-18 to clearly identify curation methods, create collections and collaborate meaningfully in a digital space. The focus will be on actively supporting digital citizenship standards to promote positive engagement in this space.
